About Nigel
I’m Nigel, a calm and patient manual driving instructor in London and the person behind LGBTQDrive. I work with learners who want a respectful, supportive learning environment — especially those who feel nervous, anxious, or have had difficult experiences learning to drive in the past.
LGBTQDrive is LGBTQ-led but open to everyone. The aim is simple: calm lessons, clear communication, and steady confidence building without pressure or judgement.
How I teach
Lessons are adapted to your pace. That might mean taking things slowly at first, revisiting basics as often as needed, or breaking skills down until they feel manageable.

Where lessons take place
Lessons are based around pick-up points in Clapham, with learners travelling from across London. This setup allows us to start on calmer roads and build up gradually to more complex driving situations.

Preparing for test
When you’re approaching test readiness, lessons focus on consistency, independent decision-making, and confident driving without prompts. Being “test ready” means driving safely and reliably — not being perfect.
